What you can 3D print

3D printed spare and replacement parts

The broken clip, knob, bracket, cover or hinge nobody sells any more: replacement parts for appliances, furniture, cars and bikes, printed from your 3D file.

What changes

A replacement part whose dimensions matter needs a 3D file drawn from measurements, not a photo. If you modelled the part from your own measurements, leave a little clearance in holes and slots, and choose PETG or a carbon-reinforced grade where the part takes load or heat.

Typical parts

Appliance knobs and covers, drawer and cabinet clips, furniture feet and connectors, car interior trim clips, bike and equipment brackets, battery covers.

Information: Good to know

A printed replacement is not the manufacturer's original. Where the original carried a load or sat near heat, check the printed one in place before you rely on it.

Whether a printed part suits your application is yours to judge; we make it to your file and the options you choose.

Common questions about this

I only have the broken part. How do I get a 3D model?

Measure the part with callipers and model it in a program such as Tinkercad, Fusion or Onshape, or ask a designer. Where dimensions matter, models generated from photos are not accurate enough.

Which filament should I choose for a replacement part?

PLA is enough for indoor parts that see no heat or load. For sun, warmth or knocks choose PETG or ASA; for more stiffness, carbon-fibre nylon (PA-CF). TPU is for flexible seals and bumpers.

Is a printed replacement as strong as the original?

A printed part is not the manufacturer's original: the material and the inside are different, and the bond between layers is weaker than the strength along them. Where the original carried a load or sat near heat, check the printed one in place before you rely on it.

Can I get car parts printed?

Non-structural parts such as interior trim clips, covers and holders can be printed; choose ASA or PETG rather than PLA for anything in a sunlit car. Do not replace safety-related parts — brakes, steering, seat belts — with a printed one.
