Format, size and integrity are checked. If a file cannot be read, we tell you why straight away.
The part is measured
Size, volume and an estimate of the thinnest wall. Small errors in the model are repaired automatically.
Print orientation is assessed
Several print orientations are compared and the best is recorded. The price is worked out for the orientation you uploaded.
The part is sliced
A real slice with the profile that will print your part; print time and support material come from here.
The plate is laid out
Parts are arranged on a real build plate. This is why the unit price falls as quantity rises.
Price and delivery date
The price is worked out from the measured figures and the delivery date is planned against the printers' workload. Anything you should check is flagged on the quote.
